Questions people ask

How long will the new video be?

The original length divided by the speed. A 60-second clip at 2× becomes 30 seconds; at 0.5× it becomes 2 minutes.

Is slow motion smooth?

Frames are shown for longer, not invented, so 0.25× of a 30 fps video plays at about 7.5 fps. Footage shot at 60 fps or more looks smoother.

What happens to the sound?

It is time-stretched to the new length with the pitch kept the same. Untick “Keep sound” to save a silent video.
