About this tool
PDF to PNG renders every page of a PDF as a lossless PNG image. PNG keeps text and line art crisp, which makes it better than JPG for slides, diagrams and screenshots. Your files are processed on your own device. Nothing is uploaded to our servers.
How to use PDF to PNG
- Pick a resolution (150 DPI suits screens, 300 DPI suits print).
- Choose or drop your PDF.
- Download single pages, or all pages at once as a ZIP.
Questions people ask
PNG or JPG: which should I pick?
PNG is lossless, so text edges stay sharp and it can be transparent. JPG files are smaller and better for photos. For documents and slides, PNG usually looks better.
How big will the images be?
At 150 DPI an A4 page is about 1240 × 1754 pixels; at 300 DPI about 2480 × 3508. File size depends on content, typically 100 KB to 2 MB per page.
What does transparent background do?
Pages with no fill get a see-through background instead of white, which is handy for placing logos or diagrams onto other designs.
