Questions people ask

What does lorem ipsum mean?

It comes from a scrambled passage of Cicero’s “De finibus” from 45 BC. It has no real meaning in its current form.

Why use placeholder text?

It lets people judge a design by its layout and typography without being distracted by the words.

Should I leave lorem ipsum on a live site?

No. Search engines and visitors see it as unfinished content. Replace it before publishing.
