Questions people ask
Is YAML a superset of JSON?
YAML 1.2 is almost a superset, so most JSON is already valid YAML. Converting gives you the cleaner block style without braces and quotes.
Why are some strings quoted in the YAML?
Values like "yes", "no", "on", "1.0" or strings with a colon are quoted so YAML does not read them as booleans, numbers or keys.
Are key orders kept?
Yes. Keys appear in the same order as in your JSON.
