About this tool

JSON to CSV turns an array of JSON objects into rows and columns you can open in Excel, Google Sheets or Numbers. Nested objects become columns like address.city.

How to use JSON to CSV

  1. Paste a JSON array.
  2. Choose the delimiter and flattening.
  3. Copy the CSV or download the .csv file.

Questions people ask

What if objects have different keys?

Every key found in any object becomes a column. Rows without that key get an empty cell.

How are commas and quotes inside values handled?

Values with the delimiter, quotes or line breaks are wrapped in double quotes, and inner quotes are doubled, as RFC 4180 describes.

Why does Excel show everything in one column?

Some regional settings expect a semicolon. Pick “Semicolon” as the delimiter and download again.
