Text tool

Text to Speech

Read text aloud with your device’s voices.

Free Runs in your browser

Voices come from your device and browser, so the list is different on Windows, macOS, Android and iPhone. Browsers do not let a web page record this speech, so there is no download button. To save audio, use your system's screen or audio recorder while it plays.

Questions people ask

Why are the voices different on my phone?

The voices come from your device, not from this website. Windows, macOS, Android, iOS and each browser ship different voices and languages.

Can I download the audio as an MP3?

No. Browsers play this speech directly and do not let a web page record it. To keep a copy, use your computer’s audio or screen recorder while it plays.

Is my text sent anywhere?

Most built-in voices run on your device. Some browsers, such as Chrome with its “Google” voices, send the text to their own speech service to generate audio.
