Questions people ask

Are tables converted?

Yes, with “Convert tables” on. Each table becomes a GitHub-style pipe table. Merged cells cannot be shown in Markdown and are flattened.

What happens to CSS classes and styles?

Markdown has no styling, so classes, colours and fonts are dropped. Only structure and text are kept.

Can I convert a whole web page?

Yes. Paste the page HTML. Scripts and styles are removed; menus and footers will be converted too, so trim them if you only want the article.
