Questions people ask

Is this coin flip fair?

Yes. Each flip uses the browser’s secure random generator with exactly a 50% chance of heads and 50% of tails, and no flip depends on the last one.

How likely is a streak of 5 heads?

For any 5 flips in a row the chance is 1 in 32 (0.5^5). Over 100 flips a run of 5 or more of the same side is very likely to show up.

Is a real coin exactly 50/50?

Not quite. Research by Diaconis and others found a real tossed coin lands on the side it started on about 51% of the time.
