    How to use Dice Roller

    1. Choose how many dice and which type.
    2. Add a modifier if your game needs one.
    3. Press Roll and read the dice and the total.

    Questions people ask

    What does 2d6 mean?

It means roll two six-sided dice and add them. The total ranges from 2 to 12, and 7 is the most likely result (1 in 6).

    Is every face equally likely?

Yes. Each die uses secure randomness with no bias, so on a d20 every number from 1 to 20 has a 5% chance.

    What is a modifier?

A fixed number added to or taken away from the total, such as +3 for a skill bonus in role-playing games.
