- Read the final price and savings.
Questions people ask
How do I calculate a discount?
Sale price = price × (1 − discount ÷ 100). Savings = price − sale price. 80 with 25% off is 80 × 0.75 = 60, saving 20.
Is 25% off plus 10% off the same as 35% off?
No. Stacked discounts multiply: 1 − (0.75 × 0.90) = 32.5% in total. On 80, that is 54 instead of 52.
Is tax added before or after the discount?
In most places sales tax or VAT is charged on the price you actually pay, so after the discount. The calculator applies tax to the final discounted price.
