Questions people ask
Does it count the start and end date?
By default it counts the days from the start date up to, but not including, the end date. So 1 March to 2 March is 1 day. Tick "Include end date" to add one more day, as you would for a hotel stay counted in nights plus one or an event that runs on both days.
How are business days counted?
Every Monday to Friday between the two dates counts as a business day. Saturdays and Sundays are skipped. Public holidays are not removed, because they differ by country, so subtract them yourself if needed.
How is a month counted when months have different lengths?
The calculator steps forward one calendar month at a time from the start date, so 15 January to 15 March is exactly 2 months. Any leftover days are shown separately. The decimal "total months" uses an average month of 30.44 days for the leftover part.
