About this tool

PDF Page Counter reads any number of PDFs and lists the page count, first page size and file size of each, plus the totals. Use it to estimate print costs, check submissions or bill per page. Your files are processed on your own device. Nothing is uploaded to our servers.

How to use PDF Page Counter

Questions people ask

Is there a file limit?

No fixed limit. Files are read one by one on your device, so hundreds of PDFs work fine. Add more at any time and the totals update.

Does it work with password-protected PDFs?

Usually yes. The page count is stored outside the encrypted content in most files, so it can be read without the password.

How is paper size detected?

The first page size in points is compared with common formats (A3, A4, A5, Letter, Legal, Tabloid) within 2 pt. Other sizes are shown in millimetres.
