Questions people ask
Why does my 1 TB drive show about 931 GB?
Drive makers use 1 TB = 10¹² bytes. Windows divides by 1024³ and labels the result “GB”, so 10¹² bytes shows as 931.32 (really GiB).
What is the difference between MB and MiB?
A megabyte (MB) is 1,000,000 bytes. A mebibyte (MiB) is 1,048,576 bytes (1024²).
How do Mbps relate to MB/s?
Divide by 8. A 100 Mbit/s connection moves at most 12.5 MB per second.
