How to make a checkout QR sign from a payment link
Turn a payment link issued by your provider into a static QR code and test what customers will see at the counter.
Open QR Code GeneratorStart with a public payment or checkout link created inside your payment provider’s dashboard. The QR Code Generator turns that link into a scannable image. It does not open a merchant account, choose who receives the money, or handle the transaction.
Decide what a scan should do
A link for a fixed-price product should display the right amount and currency. A reusable payment page may let the customer enter an amount or choose an item. For a counter sign, ask which of those two outcomes the business actually wants. Verify that the link is meant to be public and is not a temporary preview or a one-use checkout.
Open it in a private browser window before generating anything. The page should show the intended business or recipient. If it requests your staff login, return to the provider and look for its customer-facing link. Use the provider’s own verification flow for any real transaction.
Build a sign that can be checked
- Paste the public link into the QR generator’s Link / text mode.
- Start with dark marks on a light background and keep the clear border. Download SVG if your print workflow accepts it.
- Add the business name and a short line describing what the code opens. If you use a readable fallback link, print it below the code.
- Scan the final proof using a phone outside your staff account. Check the host, displayed recipient, currency, and amount or checkout instructions.
For a printed sign, check how it scans under the lighting at the counter. A glossy cover can introduce glare. If the link changes, remove the old signs and test the new ones. A static code still points to the original address after you change the link in your dashboard.
Make a quick opening checklist
For a busy counter, keep the source link and the print file together. Ask a staff member to verify the printed code periodically and look for stickers placed over it. For general QR layout advice, see the link and print guide and our generator comparison.
